Tortellini With Meat Sauce
8 oz gound beef
1 14 oz jar tomato and herb pasta sauce
1 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup dry red wine or water
1 9 oz package refrigerated cheese filled tortellini
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
In a large saucepan cook ground meat until brown. Drain off fat. Stir in pasta sauce, the 1 3/4 cups water, and the wine.
Bring to boiling. Stir in torellini. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 15 to 18 minutes or until tortellini are tender and sauce is desired consistency.
Spoon the meat mixture onto dinner plates. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Let stand for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is slightly melted. Makes 4 servings.
